Inclusive Entrepreneurship for PWDs – Impact report 2020

We are delighted to present our inaugural impact report for the Inclusive Entrepreneurship for Persons With Disabilities program. Since 2018, the Kadiwaku Foundation has launched a groundbreaking initiative in the Democratic Republic of Congo called “Inclusive Entrepreneurship for Persons with Disabilities”. The program is designed to create an inclusive environment that nurtures entrepreneurship among individuals with disabilities and provides vital support to young people with disabilities in establishing their own small businesses. By doing so, we aim to help them break free from the shackles of poverty and achieve greater self-sufficiency. Through our entrepreneurship acceleration program, participants receive tailored training and business assistance, empowering them to actively participate in social and economic ventures. This initiative has been made possible thanks to the generous financial support from the United States African Development Foundation and the Echoing Green Global Fellowship. The pilot phase, implemented from 2018 to 2020, has been a resounding success.

This impact report serves as a testament to the significant milestones we have achieved thus far. It highlights the transformative impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities, showcasing how our program has empowered them to overcome barriers and seize entrepreneurial opportunities. By fostering an inclusive environment, we believe that everyone, regardless of their abilities, should have equal access to economic empowerment and the chance to build a prosperous future.

As we move forward, we are dedicated to expanding our reach and making a lasting difference in the lives of even more individuals with disabilities. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners, supporters, and the entire community who have made this journey possible.
